My website is live!!
Just a few more photo’s to upload and it’s finished :D
I don’t understand how people can be stupid enough to shove a 5mm taper through a regular piercing and ignore advice when it’s given to them.
Seriously? What goes through their mind?
Started taping up to 5mm a few days ago. Just added another layer of tape now but I got me a lovely new 5mm plug for when I get there :D
Haven’t started denting yet. I wonder when that’s going to start happening…

Things to tell your grandchildren
I just read some very disturbing news. Shannon Larratt, the founder of BMEzine.com has passed. I never would have thought that the death of someone I didn’t personally know would affect me like this.
A pioner and a great inspiration to many. May you rest in peace
“One of the objective things I love about modified beauty is that it is self-actualized. It seizes control away from the biological lottery and the luck of who your ancestors are, and makes the transformative statement, “I will be whoever I choose to be”. That alone I find incredibly attractive… the idea that the beauty can arise from an act of will, a conscious dominance over fate.”

I have both my tongue split and the magnetic implant, the tongue isn't too bad, I took tylenol when I woke up and I was good for the rest of the day and was able to eat most foods. I'd suggest really forcing yourself to talk as getting a hang of pronouncing certain letters can be difficult. The girl was biohazard2886. Getting used to either of them isn't too bad. A lot of the time I don't really notice my magnet and I've had it for about a month now, it's just a part of me. Hope that helps!
My answer:Thanks you’ve made me that little bit more confident about getting them done. I want to ask though, did you have your tongue stretched before you split it? And does that help the healing process? I’ve heard that stretching your tongue before splitting it means there is less reattach meant during the healing process. Am I making sense? :/

If you get your tongue split, the first three days are pretty much hell. But after that its an amazing mod to have and play with. And the magnetic implant the first few weeks you won't have much feeling near your incision. But you can feel it right away. Good luck on getting them!
My answer:Wow thanks for the info :)
I’ve heard that the first few days of having a tongue split are awful but I didn’t know much about the implant. There’s not much info out there on it so thanks
I don’t remember the tumblr user but a while back this girl was posting daily vlog updates about her tongue split healing process which was cool to watch.
Do you have either of them? How is it adapting to something like that? I only have a couple small tattoos/piercings so I’m a little worried that getting used to having two tongues or a magnet in my finger might take a while
amazingmodifications:
- To me body modification is an important part of my life
- Body modification is an art form that is all too often desecrated by hackjob tattoo “artists”, and idiots with sharp/blunt objects (see sewing needles, piercings guns etc)
- Hackjobs take away customers from the real artists that deserve to be rewarded for their hard work
- These hackjobs can and do put people’s lives at risk through a lack of knowledge, care for cross contamination, improper environment and many other reasons
- It gives the public a bad image of body modification
- 9 times out of 10 when people eventually realise how bad their tattoo they thought so highly of is, they get a cover up.
I’m sure there are many more reasons that I can’t think of so feel free to add them in reblogs
